Young People’s P.A.C.T

Tamworth Youth Forum and the local Police worked together to launch & promote a Young People’s Partners & Communities Together Meeting on Tuesday 29th April 2008. At this meeting a group of young people highlighted the key issues which cause them concern. The Police for their part have taken these away and hope over forthcoming months to attempt to address them.

Issues raised were as follows: -

1. Bullying at Wilnecote High School
2. Bike riding facilities in Dosthill
3. Group discrimination in Belgrave High School
4. More bins in Lichfield city centre
5. More bins around school routes
6. School sites easy to exit at lunch times (Wilnecote)
7. Fights at Dosthill park. 8. Boy racers
9. Smoking in front of school grounds (Wilnecote)
10. Availability of Stationery from school offices
11.Older children bullying younger children (Wilnecote)
12.Dealing drugs outside school gates (Belgrave and Wilnecote)
13.Communication from school on what Fete money is spent on (Rawlett)
14. People smoking drugs on Skate Park

These issues were voted on by those present and the top 3 issues were: -

1.Older children bullying (Wilnecote)
2.Boy racers
3.More bins around school areas.

They will hold a future meeting where they hope to feedback on their progress in resolving such matters.
